Mobile Phone Usage Banned in KP Schools

Peshawar: The Directorate of Education Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a directive to all district education officers, imposing a ban on the use of mobile phones in schools. The directive emphasizes that mobile phone usage during school hours negatively impacts students’ studies, hence its prohibition in classrooms.

According to the department’s directive, school heads are required to collect mobile phones from all staff members in the morning. In case of emergencies, staff members are instructed to contact the school head’s landline or mobile phone, and mobile phones can only be used during designated free time.

Additionally, the directive states that permission from school heads is necessary for taking pictures or videos.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has launched the second nationwide polio vaccination campaign of the year, aiming to vaccinate over 45.8 million children under five years old. The campaign will run from February 26 to March 3 nationwide and from March 2 to March 6 in 33 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
