Who will be the next PM? Revelations surfaced

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has made a bold assertion regarding the potential candidacy of Omar Ayub Khan for the Prime Minister’s position, contingent upon the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) releasing results based on Form 45.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar urged for an immediate inquiry into the rigging allegations raised by Commissioner Rawalpindi division, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in the electoral process.

The resignation of Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatha over accepting responsibility for alleged rigging in the 2024 elections has sparked widespread concern. Chatha’s admission of electoral irregularities, including the manipulation of results using fake seals, has prompted calls for thorough investigation and corrective measures.

Barrister Gohar highlighted the seriousness of the Commissioner’s statement, particularly concerning the abrupt shift in election outcomes from Form 45 to Form 47. He stressed the need to address these discrepancies to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and ensure fair representation for all candidates.

The announcement of Omar Ayub Khan as PTI’s candidate for the Prime Ministerial slot underscores the party’s commitment to advancing democratic principles and promoting competent leadership. Omar Ayub Khan’s victory in the National Assembly constituency NA-18, Haripur, as an independent candidate backed by PTI, demonstrates his strong electoral mandate and potential to lead the country.

With the unofficial results showing Omar Ayub Khan securing a significant lead over his opponents, including Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Babar Nawaz Khan, the stage is set for a potential leadership transition within PTI.
