Islamabad Weather Forecast: rainfall in twin cities over next two days


 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall along with cold weather for Islamabad and snowfall in northern parts of Pakistan today.

The Met Office warned that rainfall will continue on Feb 19 (today) and moderate to heavy rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad and Punjab on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday, and Thursday. Isolated hailstorms are also anticipated throughout the forecast period.

As per the Met Office weather advisory, a westerly wave is likely to affect north-eastern parts of Balochistan and southern Punjab in the next 24 hours.

Today Islamabad Temperature

Temperatures in the federal capital on Monday varied from 8 to 14°C. Humidity during the afternoon is calculated in twin cities at 77% and Winds blowing at 34 km/h.

Islamabad Air Quality

Islamabad AQI stands at 85 as the capital city witnessed improvement in air quality after morning and late-night showers.

Pakistan rain update

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are possible in the following cities: Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, and Kasur.

In addition, snow rain, and thunderstorms were forecasted for Murree, Galliyat, and the surrounding hilly districts. The following locations can expect mild to moderate rainfall with strong winds: Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Layyah, and Multan.
