PSL 9 Rawalpindi: Police issues Traffic plan for PSL matches


The Rawalpindi Police has recently revealed a traffic plan for the city in readiness for the ongoing Pakistan Super League Season 9 (PSL 9) matches on Tuesday.

In anticipation of the PSL’s second phase commencing on February 28, which will be played in Karachi and Rawalpindi, the traffic plan is designed to facilitate the passage of teams from Serena Hotels to the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

During the teams’ movement, specific roads will be intermittently closed under the traffic plan.

Rawalpindi Traffic Plan During PSL

From the Serena Chowk traffic signal, all general traffic coming from Club Road shall be diverted in the direction of the Srinagar Highway.

To coincide with the cricket teams’ scheduled departures at approximately 1700 hours and returns at 2300 hours, the Murree Road from Faizabad to Double Road will be closed.

Vehicles traveling inbound from Islamabad will be redirected from Faizabad to the expressway.

A diversion will be executed for Traffic going from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. Vehicles will be directed from 6th Road Chowk to Saidpur Road.

Vehicles originating from 9th Avenue, Islamabad, shall be redirected to IJP Road.

Stadium Road will be completely closed on both sides, from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road during the match.

It is important to highlight that the preliminary stage of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) is ongoing in Lahore and Multan. The cricketing tournament will conclude on February 27 with the final match being scheduled at National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
