Bilawal urges against politicizing personal vendettas

Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized that the country suffers when politics is transformed into personal vendettas.

According to private television reports, speaking at a gathering in Malakand, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted Malakand’s efforts in combating terrorism and accepting sacrifices.

He informed that February 8 marks the occasion to elect the real representatives of Malakand and that they will collectively address all issues and challenges.

Bilawal Bhutto expressed concerns over opponents celebrating the failures of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s founder, as well as the dismissal of Yousaf Raza Gilani, while expressing no joy over Imran Khan’s dismissal.

Critiquing Nawaz Sharif, he stated that despite serving as Prime Minister thrice, his politics has always been divisive. He questioned whether Nawaz Sharif, who sought to become Prime Minister for the fourth time, had approached Maulana Fazlur Rehman for votes. He also accused Nawaz Sharif of fabricating false cases against Benazir Bhutto’s daughter.

Bilawal Bhutto cautioned old politicians against playing with the sentiments of the people. He stressed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had promised youth change but now needs to repent. He also questioned the promises of allocating 5 million homes and pointed out the contradiction in calling opposition “thieves” while facing allegations himself.

He further revealed that they had advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf not to arrest the wives of opposition leaders, yet today, the wife of Khan Sahib is facing imprisonment. He expressed sorrow over the situation and highlighted Khan Sahib’s impending karma, as he had promised to make others cry but now finds himself in tears.

The PPP leader questioned how long they would witness such politics and stressed that turning politics into personal enmity harms the country.

He emphasized that only the PPP can hunt the lion and revealed that he initiated the electoral campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because Pakistan is in danger due to the defeat of terrorists who are once again raising their heads due to the old politicians’ policies.
