Nigeria will Upgrade its Identity Card system with the help of NADRA



ISLAMABAD: An agreement to modernize Nigeria’s national identity card system was reached between the Identity Commission of Nigeria and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) of Pakistan.

Because of the partnership, NADRA plans to significantly modernize Nigeria’s national identity card system. The bilateral cooperation, which has lasted more than 15 years, has made it possible for Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, and Somalia to adopt Nadra’s cutting-edge technology solutions. The Nadra group discussed the significance of technical improvements in identification services with the Nigerian identification Commission during their visit to Abuja.

With over 102 million people living there, Nigeria has issued over 102 million national identity cards thanks to the effective administration of the Nigerian Identity Commission. The third-largest population segment under NADRA’s purview stands to gain from the partnership, which aims to improve the identity card system’s effectiveness and security.
