‘Not on petrol’: Asif Ali Clarifies Viral Remark Ahead of PSL 2024

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan cricketer Asif Ali, set to represent Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, has addressed a viral remark regarding his practice routine.

In a previous interview with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ahead of the Asia Cup 2022, Ali had claimed to hit 100 to 150 sixes daily during practice sessions, emphasizing the need for big shots in his batting position.

However, clarifying his previous comments, Ali humorously remarked that he does not consume petrol to achieve such a feat, jokingly addressing the exaggerated nature of his initial statement.

Acknowledging his fault for making exaggerated claims in the past, the 32-year-old cricketer emphasized the importance of practice and preparation in his approach to batting.
