LAHORE: The Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) has announced the arrest of three individuals suspected of involvement in human trafficking and visa fraud in Punjab, Pakistan.

According to FIA reports, the arrested individuals, namely Mehmood Ahmed, Amanullah, and Qasim Ali, allegedly engaged in activities related to visa fraud and human trafficking.

Mehmood Ahmed reportedly received Rs 2.5 million from an individual under the pretense of facilitating an employment visa for Canada, while Amanullah and Qasim Ali allegedly accepted Rs 900,000 in exchange for promising job opportunities and assistance in Iraq.

Efforts are underway to apprehend other accomplices associated with the arrested individuals.

Additionally, the FIA has initiated inquiries into cases involving government officials and politicians nationwide. The Director General of FIA has issued directives to zonal directors across Pakistan, requesting details regarding ongoing cases and investigations concerning government officials and politicians, including their current positions.
