The Chinese military is willing to work with Pakistan to strengthen both countries’ defenses against various threats, particularly terrorist assaults, in response to the deadly attack on Chinese engineers in Shangla.
March 26 saw the deaths of a Pakistani citizen and five Chinese nationals in an incident near Besham in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
China’s Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Colonel Wu Qian said in his monthly briefing.
“The Chinese military is prepared to work alongside Pakistan to jointly uphold regional peace and stability and to continuously improve our capacity to address diverse security challenges, particularly our ability to respond to terrorist threats,” the speaker stated.
According to Colonel Wu, “Chinese people often refer to Pakistan as our iron-clad brother,” in reference to the PLA tri-services contingent’s participation in the Pakistan Day military parade in Islamabad on March 23.
He underlined the strong relationship that has endured between China and Pakistan as all-weather strategic cooperating partners, marked by sincere friendship and unwavering support for one another through good times and bad.
Colonel Wu went on, “Our militaries have maintained frequent and close high-level exchanges under the strategic guidance of our respective leaders, yielding positive outcomes in joint exercises, professional exchanges, personnel training, and cooperation in equipment and technology.”
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has declared the military’s steadfast dedication to guaranteeing the safety and security of all foreign people, including Chinese citizens who contribute to Pakistan’s growth, the day before in reaction to the terrorist incident in Shangla.
