Tareen terms PHC’s decision contrary to public expectations

Tuesday saw the suspension of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to revoke the PTI’s popular symbol and annul its intra-party polls by the Peshawar High Court.

According to Tareen, the ECP has the power to grant or withhold the election symbol to any political party. He expressed the nation’s extreme concern over the rash and unilateral decisions made regarding the current political and domestic environment.
“Those who undercut the foundations of the country do not deserve any concession,” declared Tareen. Why should individuals who undermined Pakistan’s international reputation be given a pass?
For three and a half years, the IPP chief accused the previous ruling PTI of manipulating the nation’s economy.
