ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has agreed to a proposal to raise the retirement age from 60 years to 62 years to get rid of the burden of pension payments.
According to a private news channel, the Finance Ministry had sent a three-point summary to the Establishment Division, in which the establishment division rejected the proposal to calculate the pension according to the salaries taken in the last three years of service and to cut the pension of those taking premature retirement by 3 percent.

The Establishment Division has issued an office memorandum approving a proposal to extend the retirement period of government employees by two years. The Finance Ministry will send a summary to the federal cabinet for final approval after taking approval from the Law Ministry and the ECC on the OM of the Establishment Division.
