ost the Asia Cup after India refused to play in Pakistan. Likewise, there are fears that the Champions Trophy could suffer a similar fate but Naqvi said, “We are just thinking about having the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.”
During the presser, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi assured that the issue of the foreign coach will be resolved within the next ten days. After the removal of Mickey Arthur as the team’s head coach in the wake of Pakistan’s World Cup failure last year, Naqvi said that the Board will now bring in the “best possible” person, either foreign or local, to take charge of Pakistan’s team ahead of the T20 worldcup assignment.

Emphasizing the importance of domestic cricket, Chairman PCB added that last year we played 2700 domestic matches, and our target now is to play 9 thousand matches in the next season.
When asked about whether he would carry out major changes in the PCB, Naqvi said: “There are 900 people to manage 11 players.” Naqvi said that to make the PCB financially viable, he would need to carry out appropriate steps. He said that earlier people used to collect money and put it in the bank and now that money will be spent on cricket. The hard work of the team should be seen, even if they lose, they should lose with dignity, he added.
Mohsen Naqvi said that the selection committee will appoint the captain. I will bring changes to the selection committee, empower the selection committee, and make them accountable, PCB chief maintained.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the work on the women’s cricket league has started.
