LAHORE: Several students were caught cheating during the annual Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part One examinations in Lahore.
According to the spokesperson of Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, the students were caught during a surprise visit to an examination centre in Sanda area of Lahore.
Furthermore, several individuals were arrested for attempting to take the test on behalf of others. The minister claimed that officials from both the examination centre and schools were involved in cheating during the examinations.
The minister warned that no one can play with the future of the students. According to the spokesman, 5 officials allegedly involved in the fraud were arrested.

Earlier this week, the provincial government warned private schools in Lahore not to ask parents for additional funds apart from the monthly school fees.
Additionally, schools have also been advised not to force parents to buy uniforms and books from specific shops.
