With Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi set to visit Karachi tomorrow (Tuesday), the traffic police of the metropolis have prepared a traffic plan as part of security measures.
The traffic police today released a plan that states that Club Road will be blocked to all traffic from PIDC to Metropole for security reasons.
Ziauddin Road from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC will also be closed. Additionally, it will stay closed from the PIDC Chowk to the light signal.
The police further stated that traffic from Sultanabad Road would be rerouted to Aiwan-e-Sadr Road and Khajoor Chowk.
From Khajoor Chowk, travelers arriving from the Shaheen Complex can turn left onto Aiwan-e-Sadr Road.
On a three-day official visit to Pakistan, Iran’s Raisi landed in Islamabad today. This is the first foreign leader to visit Pakistan since the general elections on February 8.

President Raisi will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chairman of the Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir during the visit.
In addition, he will meet with the provincial leaders in Karachi and Lahore.
President Raisi is scheduled to meet Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in Karachi. He will also visit Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi and pay his respects to the founder of Pakistan.
On Wednesday, the foreign leader would return to Tehran from Karachi.
Due to the high-profile visit, the province authorities are extremely vigilant, and April 23 has been designated as a public holiday in Karachi.
