DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Sessions judge Shakirullah Marwat, who was kidnapped from Tank, was recovered in a joint operation of police and law enforcement agencies late Sunday.
Dera Ismail Khan Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) confirmed that the hostages have reached home safely after being rescued late on Sunday night. The advisor to the KP CM, Barrister Saifullah, also confirmed Yesterday night that the judge had recovered safely without providing further details.
District and sessions judge of South Waziristan Shakirullah Marwat reached his home and his release was unconditional.

Earlier, in a video statement from an unknown location, Shakirullah Marwat appealed to the government and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to accept militants’ demands as his release is possible only if their demands are recognized.
“Yesterday, Taliban brought me here with themselves from DI Khan-Tank Road which is a jungle and is a warlike situation,” he said in a minute-long video message.
A district and sessions judge, Shakirullah Marwat, from Waziristan, was abducted by unidentified armed men from the Garah Mohabaat Adda area of Dera Ismail Khan, police confirmed on Saturday.
According to the first information report, the judge was intercepted by around 25 to 30 armed motorcyclists when his vehicle reached Muhabat Mor while traveling on the DI Khan-Tank Road towards Dera Ismail Khan.
Providing details on the matter, DI Khan DSP Hafiz Mohammad Adnan said that the armed men left the session judge’s car and driver on the spot. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) registered the FIR of the incident.
