Yesterday, PTI announced nationwide rallies on the anniversary of last year’s May 9 protests and riots after Imran Khan’s arrest.
Under the leadership of Barrister Gohar, Aamir Mughal, and other PTI leaders a rally took place in Islamabad’s G-9 sector. Reports suggested that a confrontation was held between PTI supporters and police during the rally.
Islamabad police reportedly attempted to arrest Barrister Gohar, but PTI workers successfully shielded him, preventing his arrest.
