ISLAMABAD: Amidst speculation about re-joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry hinted at the reports of his comeback.
Former PTI leader, who left the party after the May 9 mayhem, changed his Twitter bio and wrote “PTI” confirming his will to rejoin the former ruling party.
Earlier, reports emerged that former PTI bigwig is expected to rejoin Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in a major political turnover after the February 8 elections.
Sources privy to the development told Daily Ausaf that Fawad Chaudhry is all set to be re-inducted in the party, which he left post-May 9, following a final meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.

Later last month, Senior anchorperson Alina Shigri quoting sources told Daily Ausaf that the decision of Fawad Chaudhry to PTI comes on the heels of the PTI Punjab chapter’s abysmal performance and its conspicuous absence from the political scene. Imran Khan needed someone to fill the void and he has chosen former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry.
However, while talking to the private channel, PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan said he believed his party would not accept Fawad back into its fold again. In response to a query, Hasan said: “I did not receive any green light from PTI founder Imran Khan about taking Fawad back in the party’s camp.”
The party spokesperson added he did not foresee the return of any former party leader, who jumped ship in difficult times, back to the party. He said there were many of them trying to rejoin PTI after facing political demise, but the party’s founder did not approve it.
