In a bid to alleviate the burden of escalating food prices on the citizens of Punjab, the Punjab government has decided to take action to reduce the prices of cooked food at hotels and restaurants across the province.
Burgers, pizza, Karahi Goshat, daal, fries, and other culinary products would cost less, according to the report, as inflation has declined over the previous few weeks.
Authorities will have discussions with restaurant associations to request that they lower food item costs, given the notable declines in the prices of flour, chicken, and ghee.
The provincial government previously intervened to lower the cost of bakery items, such as “bread.”
The price of a large bread has been fixed at Rs180 by the city district government of Lahore, which promised a reduction of Rs50–60 in the price of bread.
