LAHORE: The International Cricket Council (ICC) approved the budget for the Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled from February 19 to March 9, in an annual meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The CT 2025 budget was prepared by ICC Chief Finance Officer Ankur Khanna and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Finance Officer Javed Murtaza. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended the session as the representative of Pakistan.
Pakistan will host this year’s Champions Trophy at three avenues including Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, which will take place between February 19 to March 9.
Moreover, PCB has also allocated Rs12.80 billion for the renovation of three stadiums including Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, and Pindi Cricket Stadium for the marquee event.
As per the proposed schedule, all of India’s matches will be conducted in Lahore, except India all eight teams have already played in Pakistan so India will not have any strong reason not to come.
According to the sources, PCB stands on the firm belief that Pakistan will host the competitions despite rumors and challenges in the country.
