LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has submitted an application to District Administration Lahore to host a ceremony at Minar-e-Pakistan on the night of July 25 to celebrate the birthday of the party chairman and President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari.
According to details, PPP leader Faisal Mir wrote an application to Deputy Commissioner Lahore requesting permission for a cake-cutting ceremony and fireworks display.
PPP has requested permission to arrange seating and tents for 1,000 individuals. Sources indicate they have also applied for authorization to host a musical evening as part of the event.
The PPP has decided to commemorate President Asif Ali Zardari’s 69th birthday on July 26 as “President Pakistan’s Day.”
Earlier, PPP South Punjab announced plans to celebrate Zardari’s birthday and instructed all party organizations and allied officials in South Punjab to organize lively birthday festivities.
Prominent political personalities and celebrities will be invited including Former Prime Minister and Central Punjab PPP chief Raja Parveez Ashraf. Singer Nimra Mehra and Sahir Ali Baga will entertain the audience present.
