ISLAMABAD: Indian men’s hockey team registered their record-extending fifth Asian Champions Trophy, when they defeated China 1-0 in the final of the 2024 edition of the tournament on September 17 (Tuesday).
As per the details, the Indian hockey team defeated host China 1-0 in the final of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy to claim the gold medal.
The only goal of the match was scored by India’s Jugraj Singh.
This marks the fifth time India has won the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, Pakistan secured third place in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy by defeating South Korea and won the bronze medal.
In the match played between Pakistan and South Korea, Pakistan won 5-2.
