On the other hand, a protest turned violent after the participants of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) rally attempted to march towards the U.S. Consulate.
Police restored a baton charge to disperse protesters leading to the U.S. Consulate at Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road on Sunday. During the violent clashes, one policeman was injured, two police vehicles were damaged, and protestors set a motorcycle on fire, and broke the windows of a private news channel’s DSNG van.
