ISLAMABAD: AML leader and Pakistan’s Ex interior minister Sheikh Rashid was admitted to the hospital when a major politician in Adiala Jail started to show signs of illness.

According to reports, the 73-year-old experienced chest pain, so jail officials sent him to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology for treatment.

A thorough physical examination will be performed at RIC to determine the level of experience of seasoned politician.

According to reports, the decision about his release from Adiyala jail will depend on the results of his medical examination.

Awami Muslim League (AML) leader was detained one week prior when a court refused to grant him bail in the violence case involving May 9. After his bail in the violence charge filed against him at the New Town Police station was disposed of, he was taken into arrest by Rawalpindi police outside the court.

 

On May 9, a large number of PTI supporters assaulted public buildings and military sites following the arrest of former party chairman Imran Khan in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust issue.
