LAHORE: It was revealed on Friday that Justice Shahid Jamil Khan of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has resigned from his position for personal reasons.
According to reports, Justice Khan submitted his letter of resignation to President Arif Ali. His formal retirement date was April 29, 2028, and he was appointed to the supreme court on March 22, 2014.

“I, Justice Shahid Jamil Khan, today exercise the right to retire under Article 206(1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, with immediate effect, having served as a judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore, for almost ten years.
It was an amazing honor to hold the position, but I’ve decided to flip the page and begin a new chapter due to personal circumstances. “A pound of cunning is worth an ounce of discretion,” the resignation letter states.
