OKARA: An eight-year-old boy in Punjab’s Pakpattan city allegedly killed his mother for not giving him money for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.
Reports said that the incident took place in Gulzarabad area where the minor demanded money from his mother and got angry when she refused.
He stabbed his mother with scissors, causing her to suffer serious injuries. The woman was shifted to the hospital but could not survive due to deep injuries.
Police have taken the youth into custody and started investigating the matter.
In a tragic incident earlier this month in Sundar police limits, a son killed his mother and seriously injured his brother over a property dispute.
According to police, accused Ali Hussain attacked his mother Rizwana Bibi and brother with a knife. Both were taken to the hospital where Rizwana Bibi succumbed to her injuries while the brother is undergoing treatment.
An FIR has been registered, stating that the attack was carried out for the greed of property. Ali Hussain fled the scene, police are conducting raids to arrest him.
