
RAWALPINDI: Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs in the fourth match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
In the match played in Rawalpindi, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided to field against Lahore Qalandars.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 219 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response to the target of 220 runs, Quetta’s team was bundled out for 140 runs in the 17th over.
Fakhar Zaman played an innings of 67 runs for Lahore Qalandars, his innings included 3 sixes and 7 fours.
Sam Billings was defeated undefeated by scoring a half-century off 19 balls. Sam Billings scored 50 runs with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours.
Apart from them, Abdullah Shafiq and Daryl Mitchell scored 37 runs each. Muhammad Naeem scored 10 and Sikandar Raza scored 6 runs.
For Quetta Gladiators, Aqeel Hussain and Abrar Ahmed took 2 wickets each, Faheem Ashraf and Usman Tariq took one wicket each.
In response to the target of 220 runs, Quetta’s team could score 140 runs.
For Quetta, Riley Rossouw scored 44 and Kaushal Mendis scored 28 runs.
Shoaib Malik scored 14 and Aqeel Hussain scored 13 runs. Saud Shakeel, Hasan Ali and Muhammad Amir scored 1 run each.
Finn Alan Safar, Abrar Ahmed were dismissed for 6 runs, Faheem Ashraf scored 21 runs.
For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi, Asif Afridi and Sikandar Raza took 2 wickets each. Haris Rauf dismissed a player.
It may be recalled that in the opening match, Lahore Qalandars lost to defending champions Islamabad United by 8 wickets, while Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 80 runs the previous day.
