NADRA Reopens Madinah Registration Centre After Hajj Suspension

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has resumed services at its Madinah Registration Centre in Saudi Arabia after a temporary closure during the annual Hajj season, providing relief to thousands of overseas Pakistanis.

According to NADRA, the centre reopened after Hajj arrangements were completed and the relevant permissions were received from the Saudi authorities. Pakistani citizens living in Madinah and nearby cities can once again visit the office for identity cards, registration services and other official documentation.

The registration centre had remained closed since April 2026 following instructions issued during the Hajj season, when a large number of pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom and special administrative measures are put in place.

To reduce inconvenience during the closure, NADRA had increased staff at its Jeddah Registration Centre, allowing Pakistanis to continue receiving essential services while the Madinah office remained unavailable.

With normal operations now restored, overseas Pakistanis are advised to use the Madinah centre for identity-related services instead of travelling to other cities.

NADRA has also reminded citizens that several services, including identity document applications and renewals, are available through the Pak ID mobile application. Those requiring additional assistance can also contact the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah for guidance.

The reopening is expected to ease pressure on registration centres in Saudi Arabia and improve access to NADRA services for the Pakistani community living in the Madinah region.
