Petrol Prices in Pakistan Likely to Stay Unchanged in Next Weekly Review

Pakistan is expected to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged in the upcoming weekly fuel price review despite a recent increase in international oil prices.

The federal government is due to announce the revised petroleum prices on the night of July 10, with the new rates set to take effect from July 11 under the country’s weekly pricing mechanism.

Oil prices in the international market have moved higher over the past few days as renewed tensions in the Middle East raised concerns about global crude supplies. Traders are closely watching developments in the region, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s busiest oil shipping routes.

Despite the rise in global crude prices, industry sources believe the increase has not been large enough to trigger an immediate change in domestic fuel prices. As a result, consumers are likely to see existing rates remain in place for another week unless there is an unexpected shift before the official announcement.

At present, petrol (Super/Euro 5) is priced at Rs297.53 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is available at Rs309.50 per litre. High-Octane (Euro 5) continues to sell at Rs340.00 per litre.

Petroleum Product Current Price
Petrol (Super/Euro 5) Rs297.53 per litre
High-Speed Diesel (HSD) Rs309.50 per litre
High-Octane (Euro 5) Rs340.00 per litre

The current prices came into effect on July 4, when the government announced a slight reduction in fuel rates. The final decision on the next adjustment will be made after reviewing international oil prices, exchange rate movements and recommendations from the relevant authorities.
