ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has affirmed its dedication to peaceful protests across the nation, dispelling rumors of forming alliances with political rivals. Despite reports suggesting a softening stance by PTI founder Imran Khan towards the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the PTI breakaway faction, PTI leaders have categorically denied any such alliances.

Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, a prominent PTI leader, emphasized that Imran Khan strictly advised against forging alliances with PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), instead advocating for the party to sit in opposition. This commitment to maintaining independence in decision-making reflects PTI’s dedication to its principles.

Additionally, PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Khan and Sher Afzal Marwat reiterated Khan’s stance during a meeting in Rawalpindi, rejecting proposals for power-sharing with either PPP or PML-N. Furthermore, they dismissed reports of a potential coalition with the PTI-P in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, affirming PTI’s intention to stand alone in the province.

In a show of unity against perceived electoral irregularities, PTI has invited other political parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), to join their protests. This inclusive approach underscores PTI’s commitment to addressing broader concerns about the electoral process.

Despite challenges, PTI remains confident in its parliamentary strength, nominating Omar Ayub as its candidate for the prime ministerial position. The party has also put forward Mian Aslam for Punjab chief minister and Salar Khan for Balochistan’s top office, demonstrating its readiness to govern effectively.

Moreover, PTI is open to dialogue with political parties, appointing Asad Qaiser to lead negotiations. The party founder emphasized the importance of consulting with political leadership in decision-making processes, highlighting PTI’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity.
