Islamabad – In a press conference held alongside party leaders in Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Rauf Hassan alleged irregularities in Form 47, despite their victory in Form 45.

Addressing a press conference, Hassan claimed that their party had been deprived of 85 seats through manipulation. He stated that several constituencies experienced a lower voter turnout than expected, yet the votes cast exceeded expectations, indicating potential electoral fraud. Hassan emphasized that the results of these elections would be forever remembered for the alleged rigging.

He further asserted that media outlets were showcasing videos as evidence of electoral malpractice.

During the event, PTI leader Shandana Gulzar countered these claims, stating that the party secured 155 seats in Punjab, out of which only 55 were allotted to them. She highlighted the continuous success of PTI candidate Rehana Dar until late into the night.

Salman Akram Raja, another PTI member, echoed Hassan’s sentiments, condemning the alleged rigging and emphasizing their efforts to combat it. Raja highlighted the ongoing harassment and arrests of their workers during the election campaign.

Raja expressed concerns that the global media was portraying the Pakistani populace as deprived of their democratic rights. He lamented the alleged manipulation of the mandate despite a significant voter turnout on February 8th, which he hailed as a historic event.

Moreover, Raja emphasized the importance of remembering the electoral symbols of their candidates and urged the public to vote accordingly.

He alleged that attempts were made to undermine their party’s electoral prospects even before the elections. Raja cited examples of irregularities observed from polling stations to the Election Commission’s offices, suggesting a concerted effort to undermine their electoral chances.

Raja concluded by reiterating the significant voter turnout on February 8th, despite alleged attempts of mandate theft under the cover of darkness. He criticized the global media for neglecting the plight of Pakistani citizens and their struggle for democratic governance.

The PTI spokespersons highlighted their party’s record-breaking performance in the general elections, despite claims of electoral fraud. They emphasized the need for international media to recognize the aspirations of the Pakistani people for fair and transparent elections.
