Quetta Gladiators will face off against Islamabad United today in the eighth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9), held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore at 07:00 PM PKT.
Quetta Gladiators won all two opening games of their PSL campaign this year while Islamabad United suffered defeat in one match out of two played against Lahore Qalandar and Multan Sultans.
The Gladiators played their first match against Peshawar Zalmi. The purple force scored 206 runs and easily defended it outclassing Babar Azam-led Zalmi to 190 runs. Gladiators also achieved a historic win over Lahore Qalandars in a commanding display in Lahore’s backyard.
Power hitters Jason Roy, Saud Shakeel, and new young Khawaja Nafay remain the team’s backbone in batting. While Mohammed Amir, Akeal Hossein, Waseem Jr., and Mohammad Hasnain displayed A-game with the bowl.
