The cheating mafia continues to rule in Karachi as the 12th-class English paper leaked online before its time despite assurances that physics papers surfaced online hours before the exam.
Board management claimed to have watertight plans and watermarks to prevent leaks, however these proved to be poor strategies. The leaked document circulated on WhatsApp and in several social media groups.
In Larkana, where an 11th-grade physics paper was also leaked via a WhatsApp group, the situation is still dire. Through WhatsApp, the cheating gang actively distributes solved exam papers, and the Larkana Education Board has once again fallen short in its efforts to stop cheating.
Earlier this week, Computer Science paper for Class 9 was leaked on social media on the day of exam. A BSEK spokesperson stated that they could not confirm whether the circulating paper was fake or genuine.
Besides the paper leak, exam centers saw haphazard arrangements with overcrowding of students. Due to lack of furniture, students were forced to sit on the ground. Meanwhile, Sindh Boards and Universities instructed the BSEK chairman to take action against these malpractices.
