ISLAMABAD: Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, has been praised by an official Indian website for his outstanding performance.
The Indian site not only praised his Olympic win but also featured an inspiring video highlighting his journey, which was aimed at inspiring the youth. It described Arshad’s comeback – from missing out on a medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to winning gold in Paris – as a remarkable example of determination and perseverance.
Arshad Nadeem, who hails from Mian Channu, is the first javelin thrower from Pakistan to achieve consecutive success at the global level. He had earlier won gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and silver at the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
Their achievements have brought pride to Pakistan and made them a symbol of dedication and resilience, to the point where even a traditional rival like India cannot help but recognize and admire their excellence.
