RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has made substantial progress in ensuring transparency, neutrality, and quality in the marking of the papers it has created.
BISE Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan and Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan announced that Biometric attendance systems and CCTV cameras will be used in all marking centers to monitor attendance, discipline and performance of examiners and marking staff.
To ensure further transparency, the Board has developed an advanced Monitoring and Evaluation System to monitor the marking process, and after it was successfully trialed during the Inter Second Annual Examinations of 2024, it is being followed up with for the Matric Annual Examinations of 2025.
This system monitors the Head Examiners, Sub-Examiners, Supervisors, Assistant Head Examiners and other officers involved in the marking process, ensuring accountability at every level of the evaluation process.
Recently, the Controller of Examinations visited the marking centers at Government Boys Qadria Secondary School Gujar Khan and Government Girls High School Kallar Syedan and directed the staff to be as transparent and fair as possible during the marking process.
All in the spirit of promoting neutrality, transparency, fairness and merit to those students whom are being evaluated to uphold the public trust in the educational assessment framework.
