ISLAMABAD: More than 80,000 people have completed their Hajj 2027 pre-registration within the first three days of the registration campaign, reflecting strong public interest and growing confidence in Pakistan’s online Hajj management system.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is accepting applications through its digital Hajj portal and the Pak Hajj mobile application, allowing intending pilgrims to complete the process without visiting government offices.
Official figures show that over 47,000 men and 33,000 women have registered so far. Karachi recorded the highest number of applicants, followed by Lahore and Islamabad.
Most of those who have signed up are between 25 and 50 years of age, indicating strong participation from young and middle-aged Pakistanis planning to perform Hajj in 2027.
The registration data also highlights participation from people with a wide range of educational backgrounds. Officials say applicants include university graduates, postgraduate degree holders and professionals, demonstrating that the online system is being adopted across different sections of society.
Authorities believe the strong response is a sign that digital public services are becoming more widely accepted. The Hajj Management System, developed to simplify the registration process, allows applicants to submit their information, receive confirmation and manage their applications online.
The Ministry has reminded intending pilgrims that pre-registration is mandatory for anyone wishing to apply under either the government or private Hajj scheme. Completing this stage does not confirm a Hajj booking but is required before the next phase of the application process begins.
Hajj 2027 Registration Opens Across Pakistan Through Online Portal
Applicants are advised to keep essential documents ready, including a valid Pakistani passport, CNIC or NICOP, recent passport-sized photographs, blood group information and contact details of a close family member. A mobile phone number and email address are also required for verification.
Officials have encouraged citizens to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid last-minute delays. Details regarding Hajj packages, expenses and booking procedures are expected to be announced separately under the government’s Hajj Policy 2027.
