The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued details of the allocation of reserved seats for women and minorities in the Sindh and Punjab assemblies on Thursday
According to the notification, the PPP has been allotted 20 seats for women and 6 for minorities in the Sindh Assembly. Additionally, MQM-Pakistan has bagged 6 seats, and GDA has secured 1 seat reserved for women. MQM-Pakistan has secured 2 minority seats.
A notification was issued for the Punjab Assembly, notifying that PML-N secured 36 reserved seats for women. Similarly, PPP bagged 3, two seats given to the PML-Q, and IPP bagged one reserved seat for women.

Out of the 66 seats reserved for women in the Punjab Assembly, the Election Commission did not allocate 24 seats.
Similarly, out of the eight seats reserved for minorities, no party was allocated separately. Considering numerical representation, the Sunni Ittehad Council’s quota for women is 24, with three seats for minorities.
The Election Commission will finalize the allocations today.
