The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has directed the party’s senior leadership to vacate the Punjab Assembly seats except the chief organizer and the PML-N’s nominated Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.
According to the details, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif will leave Kasur and Lahore’s seats as he is the party’s chosen candidate for the Prime Minister slot. Hamza Shahbaz will leave the provincial seat of Lahore while Sardar Ghulam Abbas will leave the seat of Chakwal.

Other notable names, such as Rana Tanveer will vacate the Sheikhupura seat. Ahsan Iqbal will vacate the seat of Narowal. On the other hand, Sardar Owais Leghari from Dera Ghazi Khan, and Jam Kamal will vacate Lasbela’s seat in the Balochistan Assembly.
This decision comes as Maryam Nawaz is set to take oath as the first-ever women chief minister of Punjab, along with newly elected members of the provincial assembly.
