Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony urged intending pilgrims to complete their bookings under the Private Hajj Scheme 2026 before the October 2025 deadline, as approximately 16,000 seats remained vacant under the private arrangement.
In October 2025, the ministry announced that bookings for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage would close at midnight on October 17, 2025. Pakistan had been allocated a total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims for the 2026 pilgrimage. Intending pilgrims were advised to verify the credentials of private Hajj operators before submitting applications. Subsequent reports indicated that the deadline was extended to October 22, 2025.
