Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, with the rate for 24-karat gold rising by Rs13,900 per tola to Rs426,036, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA). The jump came after the price had remained unchanged on 3 November, when it stood at Rs412,136 per tola.
The association’s rates showed a similar rise across other measures. Ten grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs11,917 to Rs365,257, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs10,925 to Rs334,831. Silver also became more expensive, with its price rising by Rs295 per tola to Rs5,663, according to the APSGJA series.
The increase in local prices followed a strong rise in international markets. International gold rose by $139 to $4,035 per ounce, crossing the $4,000 mark again. Traders say global price movements have a direct effect on rates in Pakistan, where gold is widely bought for investment and for weddings and other family occasions.
Gold prices have been watched closely by buyers, jewellers and investors in recent weeks. A rapid rise can make jewellery more expensive for ordinary buyers, while investors who already hold gold may see the value of their holdings increase. At the same time, a sharp one-day increase often leads buyers to wait, hoping for a correction before making purchases.
Market observers will now be watching whether international prices hold above $4,000 and whether the local market follows the same trend in the coming days. For now, the APSGJA rates confirm that 4 November was a day of strong gains for gold and silver in Pakistan.
