Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Tajikistan to lead Pakistan’s delegation at a high-level meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government.
Dar’s visit is expected to include engagements with Tajikistan’s president and prime minister, alongside bilateral meetings with counterparts from SCO member states.
The Council of Heads of Government meeting brings together representatives of SCO member states for discussions within the framework of the organisation.
Pakistan’s participation under Dar’s leadership reflects its continued engagement with the multilateral forum.
Bilateral meetings are also an important part of such visits, allowing participating governments to discuss matters of mutual interest directly.
His expected calls on Tajikistan’s president and prime minister will form another key part of the visit.
Pakistan’s delegation will participate in the SCO gathering at a time when regional cooperation remains a significant element of relations among member countries.
