Fluctuation of day and night; Rain Chances Increased as Few Cities Woke up under the Clouds.
Today most parts of Pakistan are likely to be cloudy with chances of rainfall and many major cities have reported pleasant weather after days of prolonged heat.
Depending on where you are in the country weather is different, but records and reports so far show that for many regions, grey skies seem to start the day. Northern cities maintain the coolest 40 year lows while the southern plains continue to battle warm and humid but more seasonable lower temperatures.
Islamabad recorded a minimum of 29°C late at midnight. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the city, as well as fairly comfy conditions during the morning prior to temps heating up into midafternoon.
Similarly Lahore, further towards the east also started the day under low cloudy weather. The morning update did not include the latest temperature, but forecasters expect warm and humid weather to persist along with isolated showers initially more likely toward the end of the day.
City weather Karachi: Cloud cover on the majority of the coastline means that Pakistan’s largest city is set to remain warm and still very humid. Sea breezes help hold down daytime heat extremes, but high humidity will make it feel uncomfortable for many residents.
Peshawar remained the hottest in the northwest with early morning temperature soaring as high as 24°C. Morning showers will keep the start cooler while more scattered showers and thunderstorms develop later in the day.
The country’s best weather remains over higher elevations. 26°C in Quetta was relatively cool compared to much of the rest of Pakistan, with breezes and cloud cover making for pleasant conditions.
In the northern areas, Gilgit was reported at 23°C and when Muzaffarabad was marginally cooler also at (22.5°C) where cloudy weather is expected tomorrow with an off chance of rain as moisture would push across the north.
As that happens, meteorologists say the current weather pattern may expose many areas to scattered rain and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening; However, only localized heavy showers are going to develop because we do not expect any widespread severe weather.
The rains are also likely to relieve the heatwave that had gripped most parts of Punjab and Sindh in the last days. However, it looks like southern Pakistan will stay well above the seasonal comfort thresholds where high humidity exists.
Elsewhere across the country, travel conditions are predicted to remain normal although motorists should take care and drive cautiously in heavy rain due to local episodes of reduced visibility.
Experts also advise limiting outdoor activities during the hottest part of the afternoon, drinking ample water and taking measures against exposure to sun for prolonged periods.

As cloud cover builds over wide patches of the country, and rain activities are expected at different cities in Pakistan, forecasters said much of it will have a comparatively better day than that saw in the first half of this week. But some caution is advised for residents to check the weather, as monsoon thunderstorms have a rapid formation.
