Pakistan’s Exports to China Jump Over 50% in First Half of 2026

Pakistan’s export figures rose significantly in the first six months of 2026 as compared to the same period last year, data from the customs department of China shows.

The trade volume remained positive throughout the term of 6 months, with the best month in the 6 months being March 2026. In March exports totaled $361.37 million, an increase of over 84% from the previous March.

The increase was significantly attributed to increased volumes of sugar, bagasse and other agro-industrial products. Pakistani exporters (PX) have increased supplies to Chinese manufacturers, energy production and processing units to boost trade between the two nations.

The new statistics underline the expanding economic ties between Islamabad and Beijing, the Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce officials said. They pointed out that Pakistani businesses have become reliable suppliers for various important industries of China including agriculture and biomass.

The ministry also attributed the positive impact of the banking and financial cooperation on boosting of exports. More convenient trade finance, credit facilities and business transactions have stimulated the exporters to ship more to China.

The export value continued to increase and is expected to further enhance the foreign exchange earnings in addition to strengthening the commercial relationship of the two countries under the established economic partnership, trade experts believe.
