ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced an additional MDCAT 2026 test centre in Islamabad to facilitate candidates from Balochistan appearing in this year’s medical entrance examination.
According to an official public notice issued on June 29, the new examination centre will be managed by Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, and will be available exclusively for students holding a Balochistan domicile.
The latest decision expands the arrangements announced earlier this month and aims to provide greater convenience for students who prefer to take the test in Islamabad instead of travelling to other examination centres.
PM&DC has advised eligible candidates to complete their MDCAT 2026 registration through the council’s official online portal within the prescribed deadline and carefully follow all registration instructions.
Officials said the additional centre is intended to improve accessibility for Balochistan students while ensuring a smooth and transparent examination process.
MDCAT is the mandatory entrance examination for admission to public and private medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. Thousands of students are expected to appear in the test this year as competition for medical seats remains high.
The council has urged applicants to regularly check official announcements for updates regarding registration, examination schedules and other important instructions.
