TikTok Influencer Among Four Arrested After Risky Kunhar River Stunt in Naran

A group of four tourists, including popular TikTok influencer Sultan Virk, has been arrested after a dangerous stunt in Naran that could have ended in tragedy.

Police said the men drove a Toyota Vigo into the Kunhar River while recording videos for social media. At the time of the incident, Section 144 was already in place across Mansehra district, banning people from entering rivers and other dangerous spots because of safety concerns.

The stunt quickly went wrong when the vehicle became trapped in the fast-flowing river. All four men were left stranded as the strong current surrounded the pickup.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and managed to pull everyone out safely before anyone was seriously hurt. Officials said the situation could easily have turned fatal if help had arrived any later.

After the rescue operation, police arrested the four men and presented them before a local court. The suspects were identified as Sultan Virk, Ali Usman, Mohsin Khan and Asif Ali, all residents of Sheikhupura.

The incident has received widespread attention because Sultan Virk is a well-known TikTok personality with a large following on social media. He is widely recognised for sharing videos featuring expensive vehicles and his self-styled “Sultan of Virkgarh” image.

The case also sparked discussion online after reports claimed that Sultan Virk is the son of a former police officer. However, authorities have not confirmed any claims suggesting he received special treatment after the arrest.

Meanwhile, police said the Toyota Vigo that was swept away by the river has now been recovered.

Officials have once again urged tourists to avoid risky activities near rivers and to follow safety instructions, warning that such stunts not only put lives in danger but can also lead to legal action.
